Fixed Wing Aerial Photography/LiDAR

Fixed-wing aerial photography / LiDAR for 3-dimensional mapping at scales between 1:500 and 1:2,500. This also allows ortho-rectified mapping at resolutions between 10 cm and 25 cm.

As this technique is based on stereo aerial photography, the resultant 3 dimensional digital mapping would be detailed and suitable for engineering design, however ground obscured by vegetation would not be included. To do this field verification would required (or the use of fixed wing LiDAR), so access to the railway or highway would be required for land survey staff.

The following data products could be provided using this technique,

· High resolution imagery with upto 4cm GSD
· 1:500 scale 3-dimensional topographic mapping
· Digital Terrain Model (DTM) or Digital Elevation Model (DEM
