Helicopter Based Aerial Photography

Helicopter-based aerial photography and 3-dimensional mapping at scales between 1:100 and 1:500. This would also allow ortho-rectified photography at resolutions between 2 cm and 10 cm.

                

Helicopter-based aerial photography is the most accurate technique for aerial surveying and enables accuracies in the order of + / - 10 mm to be achieved. It is therefore applicable for areas in which high accuracy and detail is required with minimal access and possession of the railway or highway.

The following data products would be provided using this technique,

• 1:600 scale aerial photography of the route (contact prints)
• 1:200 scale 3-dimensional topographic mapping
