Compagnia Generale Ripreseaeree S.p.A.

In October 28th 2005 Compagnia Generale Ripreseaeree S.p.A. (CGR), and its subsidiaries, were acquired by the Blom ASA group.
CGR is operative in the field of aerial land surveys, carrying out photogrammetric surveys with b/w, colour and infrared film; remote sensing by MIVIS multispectral sensor; special surveys (topographic, bathymetric, LIDAR, photo evaluations), digital processing (orthophoto, DTM, automatic extraction of spatial and environmental information, 3D modeling); realization of digital technical and thematic maps, as well as GIS databases.

The group of companies under CGR control, and more in general under the Blom ASA Group, are operative in the aeronautical sector with their own workshops for aircraft maintenance and repair and for re-fuelling service. Altogether the group avails itself of the collaboration of over 150 employees, most of which graduated boastong specific skill in their sector competence.

CGR's fleet of 10 crafts includes a Lear Jet 25C, a CASA 212C and Piper PA 31/350 Chieftain Navajo equipped with two photogrammetric camera/sensor holes. All crafts are equipped with GPS/INS instruments.

The ADS40 digital sensors, by Leica Geosystems GIS & Mapping, LLC, the MIVIS - a multispectral instrument able to record 102 channel ranging between the visible and the thermal infrared band, the LiDAR system ALTM (Airborne Laser Terrain Mapper), by OPTECH, with 100,000 laser pulses per second from high altitude; three high resolution photogrammetric cameras Leica-Wild RC30 equipped with onboard GPS and Inertial Systems Applanix POS/DG consolidate CGR technological leadership in the field of surveys from airborne platform in Europe and Worldwide. Thanks to agreements established with other companies, CGR can operate the LiDAR system TopoSys Falcon II and the Laser Airborne Depth Sounder Tenix MKII for bathymetric surveys down to 70 m depth.
