BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF BLOM ASA WILL EVALUATE A DEMERGER

The Board of directors of Blom ASA has made a decision in principle that the company shall evaluate a demerger of the company`s business units, geographic information and offshore technologies. As a result of different market focus and limited synergies between the two business units, it is the opinion of the Board that a demerger will increase the number of opportunities for further development of the company`s two business units.

It is Blom`s intention to complete the demerger within the end of second quarter 2007.
