The BLOM group is organised into two main aereas; Geographical Information and Offshore Tecnologies. BLOM's ambition is to be a leader in these aereas through superior products and technology, effcient solutions and highly skilled personnel. Today, BLOM is one of the largest and most successful geographical information companies in Europa an BLOM's offshore technology products have a strong reputation among key players in the offshore industry.

The company, wich was established in 1954, is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange (Ticker Blo) and has subsidiaries in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany, UK, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Poland. In addition, BLOM employs approximately 200 people at its own production units in Romania and Indonesia. The Head Office is located in Oslo, and the group has more than 1000 employees worldwide, many of whom have a high level of technological expertise.

The Geograpic Information Division is based on the company collecting, processing and selling high quality geographical information data. BLOM's ambition is to take a greater share of the information technology value chain, to continue growing and become the leading European player in this growth industry.

BLOM strives to ensure that customers get return on their investment by utilizing the most efficient and practical data acquisition method available, wheter it is in the field, in the air or through collection of data from other sources such as documents, maps and data bases. BLOM supplies services along the complete value chain of geographic and related information.

Within Offshore Technologies, BLOM provides primarily servicies to the Norwegian offshore and maritime industry. The Group performs topographical and hydrographic mapping services, including the collection of maritime data, and the adaptation and presentation of such data, maps based on collected data and databases. In addition, BLOM provides control, production an industrial surveying services, as well as underwater photogrammetry services.
